No, it is NOT correct that the English equivalent of anything discussed here, is "Jesse." That name is used in English bibles to mean the father of King David, for example, and the Hebrew equivalent of that is "Yishay." It never appears in the Christian New Testament, except again in referring to the OT character, father of David.
The name of the Christian founder in Hebrew is yod-shin-vav-ayin, or 386. The name of the son of Nun in the biblical book we have in his name, Joshua in English, has an extra heh in it; yod-heh-shin-vav-ayin; =391.
