My wife mentions the same point.
They said it was so "important" to see that if was wrong to even question showing the graphic violence and brutality on network television.

We sat through Shindlers list. No one bitched about the violence in that film. No one said a word. Yeah, but I went out and butchered nearly a thousand Germans in response. I'm sure several thousand Jews will be slaughtered in my neighborhood alone, thanks to this film.
