Dateline Hit Piece on NOW - 'How did Jesus really die?'

Dateline NBC just now running an hour long special, asking "how did Jesus really die".
Is anyone watching this? It's an outrageous "hit piece", portraying Jesus as nothing more than a controversial, politically motivated "Jewish preacher" trying to challenge the rule of the day. One "biblical scholar" actually just equated Jesus' statements about "tearing down this temple" to a Terrorist threat!!
Apparently failing to stop Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" movie, the liberal elite are now trying to change the story itself. (Not that any outside of the far left will buy into the attempt).
NBC (aka "the gay network") has been off the charts in terms of outrageousness lately, but this is setting all new standards for outrage.
Comments? Anyone else watching?

Not watching, but it doesn't surprise me. There are lots of books selling these days that dispute the cruxifixion.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth of the nonbelievers is running along at a fever pitch. I have never in my life seen so many people in such unmitigated fear of a movie.
I wonder what could be so important in this movie that they would act in this way. hmmmmmm

Yeah, I'm watching it's typical, and I'm not at all surprised at the anti-tradition agenda. Religion in the left went out with the Soviet Union.

That's for sure!!! I can't wait to see the movie...

Long ago I made a vow - NEVER watch narratives written by unbelievers. And clearly, all of the alphabet networks fall into that catagory.

Already have 4 tickets for next Saturday Night. :-)
I wonder how long before we start hearing about "massive protests" being organized. Maybe the dimwits will call it the Million Messiah March.

I was just watching it. I couldn't take another minute of it and stormed out of the room. Those so-called "scholars" are just revisionists with an agenda. The last thing I could take was the one guy saying Judas was a symbolic figure because there is no proof he existed other than in the scriptures.

Baloney! I'm watching it now and find it academically and religiously sound. It doesn't have three hours to create a plot or movie story line. It is as authentic a documentary idea of how the event occurred as any other, including the drama of the Gibson movie. While the movie is intended to be entertaining, the NBC piece is solely discriptive and educational.
Being too prone to condemn the TV piece because you don't like the network is egregiously anti-intellectual and dishonest

My oven is on, too - and I'm actually watching it instead of Dateline.
To: jstolzen
Unbeknownst to the clueless liberal hacks at NBC and Dateline, they are actually helping stoke the fire of curiosity, discovery and truth on the matter of Jesus Christ. That is a good thing.
But if they only knew, heh-heh...

I didn't watch it either..I suspected it was all liberal trash anyhow.
John 3:19-21:"This is the judgement, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. Be he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
This says it all.

The last thing I could take was the one guy saying Judas was a symbolic figure because there is no proof he existed other than in the scriptures. Ah yes, the same brainiacs who say that the movie can't possibly be accurate because there are no historical accounts of the Crucifixion.
