THE woman linked to married US presidential hopeful John Kerry last night denied they had an affair.

Alex Polier, 27, said: "I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry and the rumours are completely false."

Freelance journalist Alex said she had never been an intern for him either. She added: "Whoever is spreading these rumours and allegations does not know me."

Right wing website The Drudge Report claimed five days ago that Democrat Kerry had told Alex to leave the country. She is in Kenya staying with her fiance's family.
