Newsom needs to be in jail for encouraging illegal marriages. Apparently, a little power has gone to his head and he feels empowered to rewrite law.

In a controversial move last week, he instructed the county clerk to issue same-sex marriage licenses. Hundreds of gay couples have lined up in City Hall to obtain the licenses and conduct ceremonies, while gay-marriage foes sought to block the action in court.
Has the Governor or the state attorney general officially acknowledged that the Mayor of San Francisco is in open violation of state law?

A multimillionaire restaurateur whose candidacy business leaders here rallied behind, Newsom recently told a chamber of commerce luncheon to prepare for possible tax increases.

Businesses in SF should just refuse to pay it. After all, if the mayor can pick and choose which laws he wants to follow, everyone ele should have the same option...

No, he instructed him to break the law.

In a controversal move, Charles Mason murdered 5 people.

Lex Luther may have been onto something.

He tapped campaign spokeswoman, Heather Hiles, to be the first African American lesbian to sit on the school board, and Alioto-Pier, a twice-defeated candidate for statewide office who is disabled and uses a wheelchair, to his supervisorial seat.

The first African-American lesbian to sit on the school board??? Where San Francisco is concerned, you can't make this stuff up! And this was the "conservative" candidate in the race.
