John Edwards, a wealthy trial lawyer, and John Kerry, husband of one of America's richest women, are themselves essentially special interests. Let's stop kidding ourselves -- raising money in Washington without getting in bed with special interests (though I admit I'm not quite sure what that means) is a tough thing to do. For the two Johns to pretend that they're above it is a little absurd.
