Well, it's a nice idea, but keep in mind that on everything except the economy, Arnie is a liberal. He thinks queers should be able to do as they please. Still, maybe if there is enough pressure... I wouldn't hold my breath though.

I don't think governors indict people. That is the job of Attorney General Bill Lockyer - the man who would be governor. How clever of the Mayoral and Judicial conspirators to conduct their 'revolution' over a three-day weekend.

Many of those couples chose to go before city officials, exchange vows, and be declared "spouses for life." Among those were the mayor's chief of staff and policy director, both of whom married their long-time "partners" with Newsom himself officiating.ROTFLOL!!!
Can't wait until he endorses Kerry from jail!

Tuesday should get pretty interesting. Again I have to say at the risk of repeating myself :) President Bush, it is time for you to intervene on this and fast. I believe this event, the Kevin Cooper reprieve, and other Judicial attacks on the 'tyrranical majority' are intended to reach a confluence in issues that will face the US Supreme Court during the election campaign season. Thus, a legal and proper response by that body will be spun by the news media and Democrats as a blow to human rights in the US by a 'Nazi Bush' regime that gained power by that same court.

Judges cannot make law! That's where judges subvert what actually is law in this country by taking into account decisions made by other judges, by quoting another judge's decision or opinion, and by hearkening to laws of other countries (recently, by U.S. Supreme Court justices). These practices have reduced courts to a diarrhea of blather and have confused juries to the point where they no longer know how to judge evidence because judges give them ridiculous "rules" to follow.
Time for someone to put judges in their place. They are NOT to make law. Not Ever! And he who thinks so is in error. Time to learn the truth, folks. Judges err in thinking they are able to revise and rewrite the law. They are not! And state legislatures should pass laws to strip state judges of the power to rule on some of the issues that judges typically try to turn bottom-side-up from what the law states. And legislatures can do that.
And on the national scope, Congress can take whole areas of purview away from all federal courts that are below the level of the Supreme Court. So, why don't they start by disbanding the 9th Federal District Court and throw those idiot judges out on the street? That would be a good start and would solve quite a few problems.
And to those who don't think state and national legislatures can remove issues from what state and federal judges can rule on, just read Article III of the U.S. Constitution and then go check into your own State Constitutions. It's there, friends. Now, if only Congressmen had the backbone to do their duty.....

Why should Arnie bother? Arresting Mayor Limp Wrist would just make the Mayor even more of a hero in the eyes of the looney tunes.
The Guv should simply declare that those marriage certificates are null and void, and tell the faggots to go pound sand. Or whatever it is they pound.

Judges cannot make law! TRUE! But the Judges in this case have declared the current law of California unconstitutional, even if by the flimsiest arguments. The only course I can see this taking is successive court challenges, with media villianization of any Politician that opposes the issuance of licenses to gays.
To: chuckwalla
Lockyear can't enforce ANY law if he don't do something about this one. This is outright anarchy and he's allowed it as the Attorney General of the state.
This isn't Arnold's call, this is the call of the Attorney General. I pity what will happen in that state if he doesn't take steps to enforce the law.

Something will hit the fan when all these newly married people try filing federal tax returns as married couples. It's also why a state-by-state decision about gay marriage is completely unfeasible.

Freep this poll on Bill Oreilly
he asks should the Mayor of CA be arrested.
http://www.billoreilly.com/ He had a gay talk show host that is actually against gay marriage and he said that it is a big gay movement to primarily push gay rights.

Does anyone know if the Governor has even condemned what's going on? Or is he just standing there looking buff?

It'd be particularly nice if he "disappeared" during interrogation.
To: Blood of Tyrants
why bother...just slow the check-writing process in Sacramento.... more damage will occur.

The same standard should be applied here as was applied to Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore. Justice Moore was removed from the court when he supposedly defied the law by refusing to remove the Ten Commandments monument from state property. Agreed. Something Conservatives have over liberals (and all others) is the mental capacity to be consistent. We can't claim to be indignant at the one, and supportive of the other.
