Death row cookbook stirs up controversy
(2/16/04 - HUNTSVILLE, TX) A cookbook with some down-home Texas recipes is stirring the pot.
The man who prepared more than 200 final meals for death row inmates is about to release Meals to Die For'. The 500-page book has jail house recipes, a list of the most popular last requests, and details of the inmate's crimes. The author, Brian Price, served time himself for for kidnapping and sexual assault.
Price's book has outraged many people, including Dianne Clements from Justice for All . She says Price is "a scum-sucking bottom-feeder" and is trying to profit from crime at the expense of victims.
The book is set to come out next month.

"is trying to profit from crime at the expense of victims" What crime? What expense?

Sounds to me like an ex-con trying to make an honest living. Apparently this Diane Clemments would prefer to have him go back to a life of crime. Good luck to him and hope he stays out of further trouble.

...profit from crime at the expense of victims.
Hmm, this would only be true if one considered death row inmates to be "victims". Very telling.

a humble question is she referring to the victims that put these people on death row, the murder victims, not the murderers

Poor murderers?
Poor Rapists?
Mother stabbers?
Father rapers?
Anyone on the Group W bench?

My fave is "Death Row Haggis".
Allow convict to pork out on his last meal.
Strap him into the chair.
Fry him until his last meal is cooked again.

I guess that's a fair point, especially if he does it in a light hearted manner. If it were me I'd mostly be glad the bastard was dead though.
