San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom freely admits that his gay marriage move threw "a bomb" into his conservative and ethnic base -- not to mention a monkey wrench into national Democratic politics.

But in the hard reality of San Francisco politics, his aides are chalking it up as a big win.

Believe it or not, some of those close to the centrist Newsom

*cough* WHA???

Sorry. I forgot I'm reading the San Francisco Chronicle.

I don't think most of us are used to just how liberal the Bay Area is. In editorial cartoons in SF newspapers, Newsom is described as "having many similarities to Bush."

"The staffers were behind it, but some of the officials -- and I'm not going to give their names because these were private conversations -- took the news with sighs,'' Newsom said.

Someone heard on the radio this morning that Mayor Newsom will be arrested tomorrow for ordering city employees to break the law.

I wonder if it will be the SFPD or the State Police?

And if he gets arrested, can we then arrest politicians who tell government employees to ignore our immigration laws and allow the illegals to invade our country?

The ultra liberal SF Chronicle has been going orgasmic over these gay marriages with their fawning praise over this morbid act. They have had numerous articles praising gays and tens of pictures since the practice started. Their editorials have whole heartedly endorsed the act of gays marrying.
