[history]
A retired Air National Guard physician recalls giving President Bush a physical in 1972, his son said Saturday, adding another memory to the small but growing pool of recollections of Bush's military service in Montgomery.
The memories of Bush's service contradict a dearth of paperwork surrounding his time assigned to the Alabama Air National Guard, but a retired Air National Guard personnel officer said the lack of records could very well be the result of shoddy record-keeping, as opposed to deliquence on Bush's part.

That makes at least three eyewitnesses, who have come forward.
When is the media (and especially the professional libeler, Walter Robinson) going to apologize?
Where does Bush go to get his reputation back?

Oh, they will be. I'm sure they've already begun investigating the doctor to see if they can find any skeletons in his closet. Pretty curious that he doesn't want to talk to the media. Must be hiding something.

That has been the democrat strategy all along. Sling mud and hope it'll stick. They don't care what they do, they are so hungry for power that ethics don't even enter in to the equation. But then, democrats don't really understand the meaning of the word ethics so we shouldn't bother to expect them to apply them.

Paperwork mistakes are probably pretty common.
In a few days, my nephew will be deployed (for the second time) to Iraq. His warrant officer has recommended that he be given a promotion to Corporal, and he had to take 2 different test (oral and written) this week to qualify. He placed #1 in both tests compared to the others in his group, but his promotion is being held up and he might not get it at all. Why? Because there are two pieces of paper missing out of his file. Apparently the previous warrant office (not the one that recommended him for the promotion) neglected to do some sort of paperwork -- evaluations or something -- so even though he has always received glowing critiques from his superiors, he might miss out.

This whole thing is sooooo flippin' STUPID, you'd think the Dems would be embarassed by it. But nooooooo, this is all they really have and they'll milk it till something new strikes them.
IDIOTS!

Imagine the Montgomery Advertiser actually getting a scoop. I'm surprised the editorial staff even allowed this story to be printed.

How about: Contradicts unsubstantiated claims that he was AWOL.
Good Lord, the state of modern journalism is really awful.

Have you talked to anyone who actually cared about this story though? Well I have a cousin who hates Pres. Bush and my sister does too so they're all over this story with glee. But other than people like that, it seems to not be resonating. I heard Geraldo ask the troops in Iraq if they cared and there was a very enthusiastic "no".

Paperwork mistakes are probably pretty common. Ill confirm that, but go further. Record keeping is the sole responsibility of the service memberat least it is in the Air Force. The rule goes like this: If a particular document will help your career, it will be lost a minimum of 3 times for each office that it must pass through. So, an order for a medal will be lost and take 1 year to get into your recordsbut only if you constantly push the admin weenies to get it there. If a particular document will hurt your career, it will pass through 15 offices in 24 hours, promptly landing in your personnel record. An extra copy will show up 24 hours later.

Trouble is the Montgomery Advertiser doesn't get the same kind of circulation as the New York Times or Washington Post, who are still pedaling the AWOL lie as furiously as they can.

Where does Bush go to get his reputation back? Exactly.
It's hard to disprove a negative charge.
When has enough evidence been presented? Who decides?
To: Hon
Didn't the administration say Bush didn't have a physical in Alabama because he knew he wouldn't by flying there, as they didn't have the aircraft he was qualified for in Alabama?
