I have finally made the ultimate decision. I called my cable company (Comcast) and had them disconnect my TV cable. My monthly bill has risen to $70.00 and all I get is crappy sitcoms and slanted news. From now on I will get my news via Free Republic and spend my free time reading or on the computer. To hell with TV!! I'M FINALLY FREE!!

"He's obviously trying to get the Nascar Dads vote."

Actually, he already has 95% of the NASCAR fans' votes. He was there to strengthen his image, period. Watching the B-2 and the two jet fighters fly over as the National Anthem ended, with GWB saying a few words before giving the starting command got him millions of good exposures. I didn't hear a single "boo" in the crowd, unlike Clinton appearances in the past.

Fox News is no longer a "safe-harbor" for conservatives.

I feel the same way you do. I just don't understand why conservatives are not getting together their money and resources and start our own cable, news, Hollywood, and other stuff instead of whining about the existing television. Why couldn't it be done?

"Get rid of Rita and her sources"

Hey! We are Rita's sources sometimes!

Fox lost me a while back too.
Brit is the only one worth watching. I usually tune in at 6:59pm to get the "Funny" thing nightly. I usually get a good chuckle out of it.
O'reily makes me sick, with his Hollier-Than-Thow attitude.
The Morning "Coffee Clatch" Show is a joke.
I quit watching all "Crossfire" type shows years ago, when I realized we will never change their minds, and They will NEVER change mine, and all I do is get my blood pressure up there when the stupid Liberal comes on and spews his or her garbage and lies.

This morning on one of the news shows, and I think it was Fox News, they said the highest concentrations of Nascar fans are in NYC and LA.

Do you think that the fact that Nascar fans are characterized as white, male and Republican had nothing to do with why Bush was there?

James Rosen never makes a favorable comment about President Bush. It is pretty obvious what his politics are, he should be on CNN.

Brit Hume tells it like it is and should be given much more air time.

Fox Needs to do the following:

Fox at night-11 pm to 1am.(They literally are on in repeat mode for 10 hours on the west coast and 7 hours on the east coast), that is piss poor.

Repeat The Factor at 1 am

Repeat Hannity and Colmes 2am

SKY News 3-5 am

Fox News Live- 5 am

Weekends- Get rid of the pre-recorded crap they push for hours and hours. Hire a solid crew and cover more stories that are outside of the war on terror and DNC talking points.

For God sakes...have a real sports division from Fox Sports there for a sports segment and sports show possibly shown at some point during the weekend and during the week.

Get rid of Rita Cosby, E.D. Hill, and hire a new woman for the morning who doesn't show her bias like Couric. Yes, she does show BIAS. Don't waste your breath trying to defend her.

Change some of that freaking annoying war on terror music and tone it down big time on Michael Jackson, Kobe, and Laci. If it is human interest you want...there is plenty of stories to cover.

Get rid of the loser show Dayside with Vester. Vester is an amazing journalist and a new mother which is why it was by her choice to have a limited role in what she does.

My suggestion? Have Rush Limbaugh for an hour a day 1-2 from his studio. You want to talk about ratings through the roof?

"I called my cable company (Comcast) and had them disconnect my TV cable."

It will take some time to adjust, but you will be rewarded in the long run. I discontinued cable TV service eleven years ago and have no regrets.

My remaining objection to conservative talk radio broadcasts are the network news breaks at the top of each hour (SeeBS News in my listening area). I find myself lunging for the dial to turn off the CBS liberal lies at the top of each hour. I’ve often wished my radio had programmable mute periods each hour to eliminate objectionable content. I believe a clever inventor could successfully market a radio with that feature.

I watched and rewatched Bill Kristol and his comment re:Democrats was actually 100% accurate when he said they were an energized electorate and they shouldn't be overlooked. What was wrong with that analysis/observation?

Finally! I thought I was losing my mind the last few months while watching Fox. Would hate to think they capitulated to the scrutiny/pressure they were under, but it appears something must have happened.

I always believed the "Balanced" in "Fair and Balanced" was to offset the left-leaning bias at ABCNBCCBSCNNPMSNBC. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Another possibility: overcompensation for what has been a barrage of criticism over their "conservative" views. In any case, they are losing viewers and will regret deviating from what put them on top of the ratings.

Julian and that creepy dirty old man who hosts with him are the reasons I don't watch on weekends. FNC has definitely become predictable and biased over the past year. Surely there's more going on in the world than the war, Kerry, Jackson, Kobe, Peterson, and unfounded Bush bashing. The war is very important and should be updated regularly, however it's only one small part of current affairs. What's sad is even FNC is getting so far behind the day's top stories that it "breaks" news items days after FR has hashed them out on a dozen threads.

Greg Jarrett is one of the worst. He pounds on conservatives and gives the opposition plenty of leeway to spew their garbage

i saw this first hand yesterday afternoon. i forget who the RNC guy was, but Jarrett pounded on him and then he got the "opposing view" from that tub o lard Bob Beckel (and what was his scandal, didn't he have one a year or so ago, i am thinking it was sex-related, but can't recall the specifics). Beckel went ON AND ON about what a GREAT interviewer Jarrett was for pummelling the RNC guy and clearly did not get the same treatment. i can't stand Greg Jarrett.
