Kerry denies allegations of infidelity

"Well, there is nothing to report," Kerry told the talk radio show Imus in the Morning. "So there is nothing to talk about. I'm not worried about it. No."

The story, widely covered by U.S. and British media Friday, was based on a report on the Internet tabloid site DrudgeReport.com, run by Matt Drudge. Drudge's report alleged Kerry had been seeing a former Associated Press employee who has left the country at his behest.

Still more of the same... this time from the Washington Times. Still no comment from President Bush's dentist on whether there is any validity to this rumor.

Waitasec, now...THIS is new: Also Friday the Chicago Sun-Times reported former Vice President Al Gore knew about the allegations, which was why he endorsed former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean instead of Kerry.

This is the first I'm seeing about Al. Wonder what their source was for this?

I believe it would be more accurate to say Drudge reported that ABC, WashPost and several other mainstream media outlets had been investigating reports of a relationship between Kerry and the young woman. He didn't exactly say Jean Quierry was boinking the girl.

The sleazeball didn't deny anything. He just said "there's nothing to report" and "I'm not worried".....in other words...I'm covering it up and not worried about anyone finding out the truth. THE END. The liberal press will leave it alone and keep pushing on Bush's service record.

What a dope. Had he admitted this a year ago when Lehane was peddling the story or when Algore passed him up as a VP pick for just this reason, it would be a non-story. As usual though, arrogant politicians are control freaks. The more he issues non-denial denials, the more he destroys himself.

I don't agree. If some irrefutable proof surfaces (tabloid, foreign press, Drudge, RW media outlets) this thing will take off. The liberal press can be lazy about a story but they will have to pick it up if it's there. IMHO

Kerry would not do this in the primary stage. It wouldn't make sense. If he was that diabolical and a gambler, he would wait till after the primaries. I don't buy that though. I think there is alot of truth to this story. Time will tell.

Rumor: A Kerry Affair & Push Polling

Rumor has it that John Kerry (D) is going to be outed by Time Magazine next week for having an affair with a 20 year old woman who remains unknown. The affair supposedly took place intermittently right up to Kerry's Fall 2002 announcement of candidacy. At present, this is nothing more than a rumor; and after such sordid tactics as the "push polling" that took place in South Carolina in the 2000 elections, can such rumors be credible during campaign cycles? Could this create a Democratic backlash against Republicans for perceived scandalmongering?

Not only that, but a blog entry made many days ago 'broke' the story. The blog is run by Cameron Barrett (go to the bottom of the blog (home/main page I Added this to the post cause I couldn't find the name on the first link) to see his name and copyright note). Cameron Barrett works for Wesley Clark's campaign.

And notice how in that blog entry, it already was setting up the right to take the blame?

Could this create a Democratic backlash against Republicans for perceived scandalmongering?
