Oh, good call! Yes, she is from Mozambique!
Would Theresa have sent her overseas?
To: Miss Marple

She's probably been on the campaign payroll.
Someone is having to pay to keep her in Africa. Follow the money trail.

Let's hope you didn't speak too soon. The best thing for this gal right now is for her name and story to be published ASAP.

Ya know.. we really don't NEED this story.
I'm a Massachusian - I am well aware of JF'nK's political history.
Why can't the Rove'ites do a lil' simple research and put out a comprehensive set of flashcards that illustrate the "flip-flopping/security breaching/hypocritical annunciations" that is the recorded history of this pampered pompadour?

Probably a dead end, like Soros.

Maria Teresa Thierstein Simoes-Ferreira grew up in the capital of Mozambique, a city now called Maputo but then known as Lourenco Marques. The daughter of a Portuguese doctor, she was part of a pampered colonial class, playing tennis on the grass lawns of private clubs and spending her days sipping tea and coffee with her friends. One of the country's best-known painters, Malangatana Valente, recalls serving "Terezinha" when he worked as a waiter in a coffee shop. "She was always smiling and talking to everyone nicely," says Malangatana. "She was always a happy girl."

If the story morphs to that she is drinking mint tea in Niger, I'll know we are being played.

Get ready for another "save the candidate" performance by Don Imus... For those Freepers who don't remember: it was Don Imus who gave Bill Clinton a campaign saving interview just prior to the New York primary. This interview was arranged by the Executive Producer of ABC World News Tonight (can't remember the name, but he went on to run CNN right into the ground), because he knew Imus would give him a puff-ball interview and innoculate Clinton for the New York primary electorate. Scandals were erupting: Gennifer Flowers, rumors of other affairs, Clinton's draft-dodging had just been revealed. Clinton had already been through his 60 Minute puff-ball piece, but the Whitewater reports were starting to come out (in early March in the NY Times).
So what does Imus do? Gives Clinton the softest possible interview -- lot's of kidding (Astro-turf in the bed of his pick-up truck?), etc. Clinton is innoculated, wins the NY primary, all the scandals are set-aside. And Clinton goes on to victory.
Count on Imus to do ALL HE POSSIBLY CAN to save John F'in Kerry.
