Can't believe we are giving Pakistan 3 billion in aid.

For that we should at least be able to haul off all their nukes and Khan.

A separate issue here, why is the American taxpayer giving 3 billion to Pakistan?

A complete disgrace that this money is being given to Pakistan.

3 billion also weakens the position that we can't do things due to their sovereignty.

Wonder if Lanny Davis got Pakistan started on this dole.

Well, we aren't GIVING THEM $3 BILLION IN AID, we GAVE THEM $4 BILLION....

I disagree. The $3 bil in aid to Pakistan was key in getting us operational rights and overflight rights there for Afghanistan; allows our CIA guys some access to their intel; no doubt "buys" us all sorts of unofficial access within Pak. It is key to getting intel about Bin Laden and is money well spent. Don't forget: this nation could easily topple and become another Iran if the crazies have their way. Mush. cannot come right out and say what he is giving us---they've already tried to assassinate him twice, and he doesn't want to lose support that he has. This is tricky business, which is why the "laundry" isn't being made public.
