(VANITY) My Email Jihad.

Join the "Email Jihad"

WHAT IS THE EMAIL JIHAD?

The email jihad is a "project" that I, FREEPER "mattdono", have taken on myself. The goal is to distribute the facts about liberals, the democrat party, and their anti-freedom agenda to the "everyday" American.

The secondary goal is to promote Free Republic to all my friends, their friends, and their friends, and so on...

WHY EMAIL "JIHAD"?

This is a "tribute" (or a big F' YOU!) to the one and only ultra-liberal Peter "Petah" Jennings. He complained in an interview that whenever the right wing gets upset, they start the calling and email campaigns. He referred to this as a "jihad". So, in tribute to this leftist pantywaste, I have called my efforts my "email jihad".

The plan is basically to show Petah' and his leftist comrades what an email jihad really is.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Bascially, here's what will happen...

  1. I (or other FREEPERs) find articles that spell out the facts about liberals and their multitude of idiotic statements, positions, etc.
  2. I format the article's text into a clean, stand-alone web page (.htm file) that is styled to be easy-to-read with no distractions (like pop-up ad, banners, etc.)
  3. I make an announcement on the thread that I file is available (to promote the effort)
  4. For those that have already joined the "email jihad", I send an email with the formatted, stand-alone page as an attachment.
  5. Participants in the "email jihad" forward the file to their friends as they see fit.

The author and source of the piece get a credit. I also include 2 other links: a link to the FR post where the article was posted and a link to FR's home page.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

FREEPmail me an email address that the file can be sent to and let me know that you want to be on the list.

Note: I do not use your email address for any purpose other than to send the files.

WHY NOT JUST SEND THE LINK, COPY/PASTE THE TEXT, or USE THE "SEND EMAIL" LINK ON MOST PAGES?

Send the Link in an email
I know that it is hard for FREEPERs to believe, but many people don't like to "surf" the web; rather, they are email intensive users. Some people have been turned off by all of the pop-ups ads, the spyware that can download while you are viewing the page, etc. So, getting the viewer "black and white" facts to their preferred is a way to get "it" in their hands.

Copy/Paste the Text
Copy/Pasting the text of an article always comes across goofy. Forwarding the text becomes even more of a hassle. Most email programs will add a character (such as a ">") in front of the text, which makes reading the text distracting.

Use the "Send Email" found on most web pages where the story was published
This feature will add your "friends" email address to the database to be sold to spammers. While you may be getting facts to friends, you are also helping them to receive a myriad of emails on how they can get their hair back, extend certain parts of their anatomy, or receive -9.99% financing on their next house. I wouldn't wish that on any friend of mine.

If you have any questions about who I am or what I am about, see my profile.

I have been a member since November 14, 2000 and a lurker since October 1997, when I woke up and realized that the leftists are destroying this country. I am balls-ass tired of watching my country go down the tubes at the hands of leftists. Between the PC-centered policy decisions to the America-hating crowd, I have simply had enough.

So, this is what I am doing about it. Wanna help?

Change your message format to HTML and a copy/paste will paste the webpage exactly as it appears.

Yes, I am aware of that, but I don't think it has the same impact. In addition, the source articles, don't promote FR, these articles do.

I guess not, though it is focused on the delivery of News and Current Events.

Hopefully, it will become news when the idiots in the lamestream media have a baffled look on their face when the President wins in a landslide, the Senate gains 6 seats and is able to break the unconstitutional "filibuster", and the house picks up seats as well; and they ask, "What happened?"

The news will be that the left no longer controls information in this country. That common folks got the facts and it showed. So, while this isn't news now, maybe it will be.

Newsflash: Nine people have already requested to be on the list. <wink>

No, it's activism. Something some of us do on occasion here.

Good idea. Another option may be in helping me urge Jim and John to set up my "Friends and Family" proposal. Allow people to add email address in their registration database. When they see an article of interest, they hit a "F&F" button and a copy of main text goes out to everyone on their list in an email blaster at 2 in the morning.

That sounds good too. I am all for that.

Have you sent this proposal to Jim and/or John? Any response?

I guess in the meantime, I will continue doing this. I suppose this method is a bit more labor intensive, but frankly, I don't care. We have to get this information out of the forum and into the hands (and minds) of others.

I have already gotten some emails back from friends saying that they couldn't believe that John Kerry was opposed to the Vietnam War. They didn't know that, for instance, when he returned, he sold out our POW by tacitly approving the use of POWs by Hanoi as pawns. Most of their comments concluded with, "I haven't heard any of that on the news" or something to that effect.

So, until we can get the "F&F" idea in place (assuming that Jim/John approve that), I will continue my jihad.
