On Foreign Assignment - Kerry

I'LL FLY AWAY

With it increasingly clear to his campaign that he will win the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. John Kerry is planning at least two trips overseas, most likely in April, so as to allow those visits to be integrated into his campaign propaganda.

Kerry is putting out feelers to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, as well as French President Jacques Chirac, about holding meetings with him during a European trip. As well, the Kerry campaign is examining his schedule to allow for a trip to Israel, and perhaps several Arab nations.

"There hasn't been talk of Iraq, though as a U.S. Senator and veteran of combat, it would certainly be appropriate for him to venture into Iraq," says a Kerry campaign staffer. "We have received indications from a number of young men and women in Iraq that they very much want Senator Kerry to visit them. His leadership just shines through."

The trips are one of a number of steps the Kerry campaign is taking as it rolls through the primary season. Another is continued opposition research on the President. According to a staffer on the blue-ribbon 9/11 commission, several Kerry Senate staffers, as well as associates of the Kerry campaign have reached out to longtime Democrats working on the commission about the work the group is taking.

"We're hearing Kerry is trying to pull all kinds of strings to find any damaging material on the Bush administration pre-9/11," says a Republican working with the commission. "We've been warning about this from the beginning. We've got men and women working here that cannot contain their hatred for this administration. Frankly, we don't have that much damaging material, but if there's stuff here, you can bet the Kerry campaign will get it."

Kerry is more and more reminding me of Bill Clinton without Clinton's ethical principles.

Chirac and Kerry will make a nice couple. Birds of a feather flock together.

"Kerry is more and more reminding me of Bill Clinton without Clinton's ethical principles."

What little of those Clinton had.......but I think what Kerry WON'T have is the army of trained chimps willing to "roll over" for Kerry, as Clinton does....and I don't think that Kerry is as slick as Willy is, so that means he's more apt to insert his foot in his mouth, hopefully so far in that it'll choke him!!!!! Keep you fingers crossed......I'm bookmarking a hard drive full of my OWN opposition research on Kerry, ready to be fired off at every media outlet in the country, when needed!!

Clinton was a murderer many times over, who grew up among the Dixie Mafia in Hot Springs. Kerry was a traitor who consorted with Jane Fonda. Clinton was a rapist. Kerry was a gigolo. You can take your pick which is more to be despised.

Do not forget Kerry's mentor...Sen. Kennedy who is pulling the strings. Kennedy knew he would never become President; thus, has been grooming his Pinocchio, John F. Kerry.

I think that was cynical. :)

I'm not afraid of John Kerry. If he wants to jump into the mud, then I'm sure the good cowboy will put his boot down on his face and keep him down.

I loathe John Kerry. I didn't intend to volunteer for the Bush Campaign until the fall. However Kerry so annoys me that I signed up last week.

Kerry is a slightly lighter shade of "Big Creep."

Acting like he's president 9 months before the election? I saw somewhere that PM Tony Blair is going to make a visit to the U.S. to shore up support for President Bush. I wonder if Blair will actually agree to a meeting with Kerry.

Kerry is despicable.

My concern is the disruption of this administration's delicate interaction with the international community to bring about non-proliferation and to defeat terrorism.

Kerry may be the presumptive dem nominee, but President Bush is in office until AT LEAST January, 2005.

He is acting in his own interests, rather than the national interests. Why would anyone want to vote for such a person as President of the United States.

You put it perfectly. Yesterday we read that memo from the Kerry campaign to IRAN and now this!

This thread needs a little more attention! I think the title isn't capturing the eye of FReepers, so I'll bump it here and now.
