Beyonce is best when she just sings, instead of trying to invoke Mariah Carey. I think she's got a lot of talent but needs far better role models than those who are around the Grammys tonight.

Well, he said something similar to what HLL quoted... But it really was "Are you going to expose your breast" He said .... "Oh no.... My brother said said not to expose anything if it wasn't the Boob in the White House, but that's just what ~he~ said... I said [brother's name]!"..... and then Joan sent him off somewhere else....

I am not sure what he was really trying to say. It wasn't a smooth move, for sure.

Come on, are we listening to the same music?

Yes, we are. When she tries to sing ballads, she falls short more times than not.

Anita Baker lives a couple of blocks away from me. We also have the same doctor.

I saw her at a Dick Cheney dinner last year. Yep, she's a republican.

"Professional widow" - one who wallows in her status as a widow, i.e., Coretta Scott King, Courtney Love, or Yoko Ono.

She wallows in her status, huh? How? By not remarrying? There are others that have done the same exact thing. Are they professional widow(er)s as well?

Lay off of Yoko. When you see your spouse get shot to death in front of you, maybe then you can have the right to criticize her.

Which explains why we haven't been graced with a new CD from her in quite a while...

Good for Anita! Her voice is like chocolate silk pie... smooth.... I also really loved Toni Braxton's voice, but she kinda went astray.

Wow, I actually thought Beyonce was great (aside from the bird at the end, which was over the top).

Norah Jones is so cute. Wish she was performing tonight.

Sounds personal. You might want to rub some calomine lotion on it.
