U.S. forces in Iraq found seven pounds of cyanide (search) during a raid late last month on a Baghdad house believed connected to an Al Qaeda (search) operative, U.S. officials said.

The cyanide salt was in either one or several small bricks, and U.S. officials said they believe it was to have been used in an attack on U.S. or allied interests. Cyanide is extremely toxic and can be used as a chemical weapon, although it was unclear if the cyanide was in a form that could be used that way easily.

It must have fallen off the truck on the way to Syria. Too bad we were busy watching protests in NYC and London. Damn that Bush, he let the WMD get away. ;-)

I have to say, don't get excited here. This won't nearly be "big enough" to say Bush was right. The libs will blow this off like it's nothing. Until they find a warehouse full of ICBMs marked "To USA" with the "fuses" all lit, it won't "rise to the level". And even then, it'll be Bush's fault.

This is not new....I remember this breaking last week....Fox had it.

There are new details tho in this article.........about a bomb being made in the house....and the cyanide being used in an attack.

Notice how the media never tells you where Hassan Ghul was coming from....when caught entering Iraq.

Iran.

Monsieur Jean "Bring It On" Kerry

Measure Number: H.R. 3396 (Defense of Marriage Act) Kerry (D-MA), Nay

"I think there has been an exaggeration," Mr. Kerry said when asked whether President Bush has overstated the threat of terrorism.
SC Dem Debate 01/29/04

Kerry opposed the death penalty until 2002 , voted against military action in the 1991 Persian Gulf war, and voted to freeze defense spending.

Bank records would later show that Kerry's Chinese campaign cash came from $300,000 in overseas wire transfers sent to Chung on orders from the chief of Chinese military intelligence, Newsweek reports.

During the height of the Cold War, Kerry opposed the entire strategic modernization effort proposed by President Reagan — the Peacekeeper, B-1 and B-2 bombers, the Trident submarine and D-5 missile, opposed the non-strategic modernization of the defense budget as well, and the deployment of the INF missiles in Europe.

Notice that Iran is where that Ansar al-Islam guy Warzir Ali Wali Mamoyi was coming from when he got nabbed near Sulaiymania. Note also that it was reported that he was going to the "Sunni Triangle area, possibly to link up with anti-U.S. insurgents from the former regime of Saddam Hussein."

NO!

"Al Qaeda" is the only group we're allowed to attack! And we mostly don't know where they are. So we can't attack anyone anywhere! Unless we check a person for an "Al Qaeda" membership card, and find one. Then I guess it's okay.

But Iraq was led by a "SECULAR" leader which means it is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for him or anyone else in his country to have cooperated with "Al Qaeda" people (because they are oh so "RELIGIOUS").

That's why this damn war in Iraq is distracting us from the real war against "Al Qaeda"!

It's Saturday. CJTF7 and CENTCOM have barely put out a report the past 4 days, which usually means very busy troops conducting dangerous operations. Please pray for them.

I think you are wrong Dr. Frank fan. We are fighting Al Qaeda on many fronts, including Iraq. We are not distracted.
