Out of whack is right. Aren't the judges who let him out morally culpable, at least? It's past time to make them legally culpable also.

What are the odds this guy was in a prison with a great weighlifting center? Just like the YMCA. I think the cons should be put on a 16 or 18 hour workday, chopping rock. Eliminate the cable tv and weightrooms.

Its time to remove judicial/governmental immunity from judges that are grossly negligent in allowing these type of criminals back on the streets. I wonder how many liberal judges would remain on the bench if they knew their personal assets were at risk confiscation by the trial lawyers they so love everytime they decided to give one of these predators another chance to prey on society. They would have to go back to work for the Public Defender or the ACLU where they belong.

Nope, the judges have legal immunity. The only way to get rid of them is to vote them out or convict them of a criminal act. Aside from that, there's not a whole lot we can do.
