When will these people quit coming to Fla to do their crimes?

When abduction and murder becomes as serious a crime as "doctor shopping."

He never should have gotten past the attempted kidnapping.

Absolutely.

Not to hijack the thread, but I have known several people victimized by the WOD. What a stupid waste of time and money, while creeps like Smith walk around free. You can search for sexual predators in Fla here:fdle

It's a pretty cool resource, every state should have this.

Read a report that said he showed a gun in his pocket.

they should be executed immediately.

Richard Allen Davis, was convicted of the murder of Polly Klass in 1996. He was the guy who gave the finger to the camera and the public.

Thanks to California justice, he's still alive.

But what price will the Judge pay? The jurors who let this animal free? The demorat public defender who created the story in the first trial to get this scum acquitted?

WE make the laws in this country.

WE have failed to give proper instructions to our judges, jailers, and legislators.

WE persist in using a deterrence/rehab model for human killing machines who are not appropriate for it.

The reason legislators do not pass laws that would eliminate scum like Smith when they are first identified is that they would lose their jobs at the next election if they did.

She didn't fight right away because she was young, and scared and has probably been taught to obey adults. a good girl.

I seldom let Caitlin out of my sight, but I know as she gets older she will want off of my apron strings. I have told her to yell things like "Fire!" and "You're not my dad!" if anyone tries this with her.

I have told her to scream, bite, hit and kick and to RUN the minute she gets a chance.

I have told her, "Your job is to live and get away. Period".

Hope we never have to test it!

True. But I don't think the police had the video surveillance tape yet to see that it was a guy in a mech's shirt. But it does bring back memories of Polly Klass' murderer being stopped soon after the crime and the DC snipers being checked out as they slept on the side of the road. Too bad.

The law was on the books. The judge elected to shirk his duties. He will not win re-election, but that will not bring Carlie back. Our legal system is in full collapse. Marx couldn't have dreamed how successful the infiltration of his ideology into our colleges has been.

I know it. CA is beyond disgraceful. It is unconscionable. The democrat lawyers and judges have found many ways to circumvent executions.

For starters, the automatic appeal is delayed for years, in search of a lawyer. The next guy (cretin) scheduled to die has lived on death row for 21 years. Justice delayed is justice denied.

I did some simple calculations during Westerfield's trial for the kidnapping and murder of little Danielle VanDam.

Get this: CA has over 600 inmates on death row.

Were CA to execute one per month it would take 50 years!

Were CA to execute one per week, it would take almost 12 years.

Smith should get the death penalty. However, Judge Rapkin is also to blame. He deliberately refused to send this pervert to jail even though Smith's probation officer asked him and told him Smith was dangerous. Rapkin should at the very least be impeached.

Was it a 'Whites Only' bar? We have gained in some areas. What are you doing to make these days better? Not to be harsh or anything but these are the best days in history, let us make them better.
Is Ole Sparky still kicking in FL? I sure hope so.

Not MY law.

As soon as it is clear that a person will act on the violent/sexual fantasies that preoccupy their days and nights, they should be killed.

Isolation (NOT prison) would be an acceptable alternative, if it could be done.

If this judge had done his "duty", the brutalization and murder of one or several innocents would only have been delayed for a brief time.

That is insufficient.

I don't thing at that time they knew it was a kidnapping

But they knew it was a kidnapping the next day but instead of going out to bring her body home, the cops left her there for 4 days and let her family suffer even more.

"Carlie was snatched while walking home Sunday night from a slumber party at a friend's house."

Memo to parents - letting a little girl walk around town late at night isn't a bright idea. However painful it is to get off your ass and miss 15 minutes of "Will and Grace," give your kid a ride to and from home even if its only a couple blocks. Sucks but this is the society that we live in.

My driveway is a quarter of a mile long, when one of my older boys aren't riding the bus, I make sure to drive my 6 year old daughter down to the bus and make sure someone is waiting for her at the end of the driveway when she gets off.

It only takes a split second to lose someone you love forever.

Drug users need help, not jail.

What planet do live on? The creep has a drug record a mile long. So he was clean when he attempted to kidnap Ms. Stinson? Was he clean when he bashed another young woman with a motorcycle helmet? Was he clean when he murdered an innocent 11 yo child? His probation officer had just requested on Dec 30th that he be hauled back into court for failing drug tests, but the judge ignored it. Yep, the poor guy needs another 37 more chances, right?

It has been out of "Whack" for years but remember it ant called the "Criminal Justice System" for nothing.
To hell with honest people and children for lawyers to become rich by sitting on their lazy a$$e$$ they must come up with one scheme right behind the other.
I believe in equal rights and it is about time law abiding citizens are treated with the same equality.
The police cant protect us because of fear of violating a criminals equal protection so it behooves us to become criminals to get protection.
The ABA and Liberals in this country have about succeeded in making America the most violent nation on earth. It wont be many more years that the weird ones can not only get married but will have the right to proposition your 10 year old legally. The legal profession in America has gone bonkers and needs to be reeled in.
Of course when a group is allowed to police itself what do you expect. No group on earth has as much control over America as does lawyers.
