Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that Your hand of protection continues to cover our beloved country. Let us not forget to daily thank You for Your goodness and mercy, for without You, O God, we would be desolate. Plans of attack are constantly being formulated against us, for the enemy is relentless, but give those who stand guard the greater knowledge, that no harm would befall. Thank You for sparing those in our national offices ... intercept all manner of harm ... keep us ever vigilant.

Merciful Father, strengthen those in authority over us, that they be ever mindful that their charge is the protection of the people. Thank You that our President remains focused despite the din of political attack. Unite our hearts in this effort, for if we fail, Heavenly Father, we will have squandered the freedom and liberty that You have granted this great nation. Let other nations look with longing upon this freedom and liberty ... may they rid their land of all manifestations of terrorism, for You would have us live in peace and safety. We covet Your presence, O God, that our lives would evidence Your dwelling among us. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
