...and another thing! As a Catholic in good standing, I never could understand why so many Irish Catholics, like my wife's relatives, and the Catholic clerics and laity alike, continue to support the party of abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia, human cloning, etc.etc., in such large numbers. The fact is, the Catholic community has been in the hip pocket of the Democrat party for far too long. The problems in Massachusetts are just another negative manifestation of this phenomenon.

Look at your priests. Many of them don't accept the moral teachgings of the Church. TIP O'Neill one addressed a gathering of priests and commented that 2/3 of them accepted the abortion law. The sheep are led astray by the silence of their shepards.
