Liberal or conservative, the court can give thumbs up to a law or thumbs down, not create legislation through law, and a liberal should be able to recognize such a thing.

If the legislature is so liberal that they're eager to give out homosexual marriage, they should do so without hiding behind a flawed court decision that will be used as precident for centuries to come.
