The only thing clean about Edwards is his hair.
He uses Breck, you know.

The NYT wrote an article saying they believe believe the attacks are coming from Lehane
All's Fair? Clark Rivals Irked by an Aide's Tactics
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1058945/posts The documents those nasty tidbits that campaigns euphemistically call "opposition research" are flying in the scrappy final days of the Democratic contests here and in Iowa. At the center of the maelstrom, Democrats say, is a 36-year-old aide to Gen. Wesley K. Clark, a frenetic, colorful and, some contend, devious communications strategist named Chris Lehane.

Ah, let Clark be the one left standing. He is so nutso that he won't take 3 states. But......omg...if that happens, then Clinton's boy is in. Then.....bring out the trash on Clark from the underground..and waa-laa ! Hillary to the rescue. No ?

Edwards hired Hugh Shelton as an advisor.... What keeps bothering me are the comments I've read that Clinton is in daily contact with all the contacts

Edwards hired Hugh Shelton as an advisor....Holy moly!! Both from North Carolina.
The Clark "bombshell" theory a while back was...would Bush leak the true reasons for Clark's firing first, or would Clinton do it first to sabotage the candidate before the convention so Hillary could jump in? But what if Edwards drops the bomb first...disposing of his only southern competition? Interesting.... Anyhoot, the Hillary theory is fun, but I think contrived. The boys behind Clark probably know about his faults and think he can talk right through them...his one "consistent" strategy.

Agreed. As Dennis-the-Menace was so recently quoted as alluding to.
LOL! I'll still campaign for Sharpton, though.

But according this article .. Edwards was recruited by Bob Kerrey
http://www.newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/news/politics/national/features/4741/index1.html
As the Senate Democrats' top recruiter, Bob Kerrey, acting on a scouting tip, persuaded Edwards to run for the Senate. The incumbent, Lauch Faircloth, was a 70-year-old hog farmer and Helms alter ego. Polls suggested he was beatable, and interest groups like the Sierra Club wanted him gone. Kerrey saw another alluring factor in an Edwards candidacy: the wealthy young lawyer's ability to self-finance. Donations were hard to come by in a midterm year like 1998, especially in the wake of the Lewinsky scandal.

Also, Gen. Shelton just demeaned
himself by working for this creep,
Edwards. Shelton wasn't wise IMO.
Yes, the in-fighting is funny, but
Shelton doesn't seem so clean now,
as a witness against Clark.
JMO, anyway.

They call those attacks??? This story is kind of like:
"New England Patriots super bowl strategy discovered."
Defence to force quarterback out of pocket so he can't watch recievers get clear of linebackers and safetys downfield, and will have difficulty completing passes on the run.
Also advises second and third men in on tackling running backs to try to dislodge the football, and cause a fumble.
Linebackers advised to time collision with recievers so as to knock ball loose and cause an incompletion.
Shocking stuff isn't it. Something you wouldn't expect from a nice team like New England.
And of course you wouldn't expect a political strategy like that from the Edwards camp. - Tom
