The day I wanted Limbaugh to be right (Anotehr Derrick Z. Jackson Moron Alert)

BEING AN African-American Cheesehead (now there's a voter demographic for you) means occasionally being a traitor to your race. In two games this football season I wanted Rush Limbaugh to be right about Donovan McNabb. McNabb, the three-time All-Pro quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, was called mediocre early in the season by Limbaugh, the right-wing commentator. Limbaugh said McNabb's reputation was based on affirmative action from the media.

Derrick, the point of being an Op-Ed columnist is to publish timely articles. This is a week and a half late and has virtually no point, but to bush on Rush Limbaugh and Oklahoma State.

I guess this is what passes for journalism at the Boston Globe.

I see he kinda brushed past Donavan's abysmal performance (again) in a HOME playoff game to go to the Super Bowl AGAINST THE #4 SEED.

I guess nobody wants to mention that the completed pass on 4th-and-26 was actually a 25 yarder, but was generously marked by the refs so that the game result couldn't be blamed on their spot of the ball?

BEING AN African-American . . .

As a European-American that is where I quit reading.

Take that, DZ!

You really can't expect much from a hyphenated American.

No surprises here.

"Where's Rush now?" I yelled at the television set one last time."

One last time indeed as in the next game, McNabb WAS mediocre, leading his team to a 3rd straight loss in a division championship. NO RINGS, NO SUPERBOWLS, COULDN"T GET IT DONE...AGAIN!

I guess in the end, Rush was right, eh Derrick?

Dear Mr. Jackson,

Thank you for kindly going far, far out of your way to identify yourself as an African-American,...we already acknowledge your Swiss Cheese brain.

I had no idea that you emigrated from Africa. Which part of the "Dark" continent do you hail from?? What's that? You're not African by birth but simply choose to constantly identify yourself as such merely to curry favor among your "bros" in the "hood" as well as using it as an affirmative action crutch in your stellar career as a race-baiting black? Why the shame of it all.

But really, you should feel free to use your Muslim name on your column. Don't be so ashamed of your Islamic culture!

And it's great how you have conveniently over-looked McNabb's low QB ratings and his miserable failures in three NFC Championship
games.

Now if you want to talk about racism in sports
Z, you might want to focus on why there are just a meager handful of white players in the NBA and NFL today.

How about a new "white" affirmative action plan to get some whites a few jobs in these sports. But of course that wouldn't be of any interest to a racist African-American like yourself. Your skin color always comes before being just an American citizen. It's not good enough to just tell people your an American. No, No. You have to make sure they know you're black.

Hope you had a happy Kwanzaa!!! It's as false and see-through as you are.

By the way, McNabb is never going to the Super Bowl.

But here's a thought. Perhaps you should look into Farve's family history. Maybe his ancestors came from the Dark Continent.
Then your miserable racist life would be complete! The Packers winning a Super Bowl with a black QB! Livin' the dream!

Rush never said McNabb was mediocre. Rush's comments were a commentary on the press, not directly on McNabb.

That being said, McNabb did not play that badly against Carolina. In the first quarter, before he was hurt, he threw some excellent passes. It's not his fault that even if he puts the ball right on the receiver's numbers, they can't catch it. After his injury (which has a 6-8 week recovery period, so it was pretty severe), he didn't play that well, but who would have?

As one who has seen most of the Eagle's games this season, I've seen McNabb often gets out of the gate slowly, but hits his stride as the game progresses. Last Sunday, he actually played much better in the first quarter than he often does, which surprised me as I thought he'd come out tight at the start. His receivers let him down big time. Besides not catching well thrown passes, there were several busted and improvised routes that led to interceptions. There have to be better receivers out there. The Eagle's present crop has got to go.

McNabb's a good QB, IMO, not a great one. He's good enough to QB a team to the Super Bowl, as long as there are no glaring weaknesses in the rest of his team. In the past 3 years, the Eagle's glaring weakness is its receiving squad--no doubt about it.

I can't get past a supreme liar and racial arsonist like Derrick (all-white-people-are-evil) Z. Jackson calling Limbaugh a race-baiter. I could use the phrase this is like the pot calling the kettle black, but that would just make me another nasty, insensitive white devil.

The President's education initiative (i.e., NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND) is probably too late for you, Derrick. You should understand the difference between hearing and listening. Hearing is merely the detection of the audio signal, but Listening generates a cerebral response to the detected signal.

You should go back and LISTEN to Rush's comment again. While you are in the learning mode, go check the NFL quarterback ratings. McNabb is 16th out of 30 - good but not great!

Not to mention that this guy is a Boston Globe columnist, not a Philadelphia one. I guess he can't root for the Patriots because Tom Brady is white.

I know I'm late on this but I am new here and I just had to comment! First Rush wasn't fired! He resigned. Next point, I wish this guy would wake up white one day and really expierence discrimination and hear blacks calling him a honky and can't do anything about it. I wonder if he would change his tune then.
