That happens to me at least once a week. Good thing it's winter, and the scoots (mostly) stay garaged.
My rule of thumb, vis-a-vis road critters vs. motorcycles, is simple: "If you couldn't eat it in one sitting, don't hit it."
So squirrels are fair game.
