Some of the Med. coastline is sinking, and some of it is rising.
In N. Africa, Israel, and parts of Italy, some ancient coastal cities are now underwater. In Turkey, Syria and other parts of Italy some ancient coastal cities are now high and dry, far from water.
No, Algore, sealevel is not rising, it's land-levels that are not static. Some are rising, some are falling and some remain the same over long periods.

Some of the Med. coastline is sinking, and some of it is rising. I have never given it much thought, but you're right of course. I recall reading a piece(several actually) about a "port" city found high in the Andes Mountains. Now that's some rise!
