LOL! My college roommate and best man at my wedding was named Jack. Even way back then he and I had agreed that the proper phrase to use should be, "Greetings, Jack!" Other variants could include "hello", "hey what's up?", or the ever popular "salutations!" But never "Hi, Jack!"
