I wonder too. I've heard some stories of truly horrific wounds, crippling injuries, maimed bodies and only paltry disability awards. Not that today's vets should be treated poorly just because it has happened in the past, but I wonder if the original 30% was correct and the Army upped it to stop the screaming from jack$on and gang?
