Not sure about the defination of the masses but as a short old guy I have been in charge of a number of masses as project engineer and program manager I have never lost my temper with a subordinate nor have I ever flaked out at a group meeting. I can relate to you a few big men that have done poorly with the masses, LBJ comes to mind. Merit is at the top of my list for people that work for me, who I work for and who I work with.
