There will remain elements opposed to democracy and freedom in Iraq. They will remain a blight on the country's landscape but they cannot effect its future now that Saddam's in custody.

Thanks for the daily good news, kattracks. (^: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
U.S. military officers say the decline in attacks, after months of growing intensity, is the first proof that Saddam's capture and recent U.S. offensives have dampened, but not eliminated, resistance to the occupation.

USA Today (w/liberties by me *g*) admits good news. Iraq-ization, intel now that Saddam's gone, ping!

Well, you won't hear this on the evening news. Especially on the network news
Ollie North said that 59% of the American people support the war in Iraq.....but if the the real truth came out about the war, then that would be 95%.
He also said that never in this Country has a president had such bad press......not since Lincoln.

Be interesting to see what happens during and immediately after the major troop rotation we're just starting. The Iraqis who have been fighting are now experienced veterans and they are staying. Our veterans are leaving. Our new units, although well trained and taking full advantage of lessons learned from the units returning will still not quite have the edge of the previous troops for a while.

Didn't I just hear on Meet the Press YESTERDAY that Kerry was saying that Sadam's capture was actually RAISING the number of attacks and terror in Iraq? I wonder what has happened since just 9:30 am yesterday to lower the attacks by 22%....hmmm

He was flopping around like a fish out of water about his voting for the Iraq resolution as well. Tim asked him how he could be against the war in Iraq after voting for it. Kerry said something like "I voted to give the president the right to have discussions about going to war...."
