it's not necessarily optimism. Remember when Reagan said "are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?", in '84? Well, I think the Bush team can and will run with that. How is ANY dem candidate going to compete against that? Are we safer now than we were 4 years ago? Didn't Bush and his team pull us out of a recession and 9/11, back to where we were before 9/11? I know I'm speaking to the choir here, but I don't think any of us should sell our candidate short (after all, this is not Bush '92).

Maybe someone will notice and give you McClelland's job! LOL
I sure hope they put someone in that job that can do more than read a piece of paper and look like a deer in the headlights.
