Well here is my letter to Tancredo:

I am a Republican that has voted a straight Republican ticket for years.. no longer. I am writing TOM TANCREDO in both the primary and the general election for president. You are the ONLY congressman that has the fortitude to tell the truth on immigration. God forgive George Bush.. for he certainly does not have mine.

Here's my letter:

Dear Rep.Tancredo,

I can't believe that President Bush proposed this amnesty plan. This is going to be a disaster for our country. Jobs that Americans won't do? I know people that would love to have hotel and meat cutting jobs!

Until today, I fully supported President Bush, but now I'm shocked and disappointed in him.

I hope there is something you can do about this before it's too late.

Sincerely,

Time will prove the wisdom of the Bush policy.

The reality is the illegals are here, and have been for years. Many are the guests of Americans like you.

What Bush needs is political cover to nail those illegals to the wall who will not officially reveal their existence and play by the rules.

By giving them a fair chance to provide the best of their presence, the willingness to work at entry-level jobs that Americans shun, and removing the worst, which is their unregistered and illegal status, Bush is once again achieving the heroic and legendary.

Freepers will embrace this policy with time.

I'll be patient in my counter-criticism because I believe emotions and not common sense are guiding the initial reaction.

Contacted Tom Tancredo with a letter detailing the reasons why America is begging for enforcement of existing immigration and border laws. Bush refuses to enforce these laws for the sake of his own political gain. I told Mr. Tancredo that I would support his run for the Presidency if he would consider it.

I would like to suggest that there be ways for jobs that non-citizens are now doing be put up for grabs. For instance, if it was learned that a non-citizen was doing a laundry job in SE MA, it should be in a special classified section of the newspaper. If a citizen claims it, the non-citizen should be sent home and the job should be providing wages for us.

If someone is hiring illegals, they should be fined and go to jail. If they don't immediately admit it and sign up for the process to replace those people, they should lose their jobs, get even more jail time and stiffer fines, even be open for lawsuits filed for citizens who would do the job.

We know the percentages opposed to foreigners doing work US citizens would do. We know the percentages opposed to the invasion. Face it, folks, except for a few heroes such as Representative Tancredo, everyone else is supporting the status quo...cheap labor, cheap votes, the destruction of the middle class in America.

I'm disgusted. President Bush knows how conservative Americans feel about this issue. He's circumventing the political process and supporting a form of globalism that is not helpful to the aspirations of average US citizens who want to maintain what they have worked so hard for.

Now that my temper's cooled somewhat---

You know, there's something very interesting here ideologically:

a whole new kind of class warfare between one kind of Republican and another.

Those with maids and yard help, and those without. Haves and have-nots.

You don't notice Rush calling for enforcement of our immigration laws--and why not? Do you suppose Marta scrubs the twenty toilets in the twenty bathrooms in that $24M mansion in Palm Beach? Does Rush spread his own mulch?

Yesterday on Hannity I heard George Will speak approvingly of mass immigration...well...I'll bet his young trophy wife doesn't clean her own house, and poor George better never expect such a thing.

But middle-class Americans don't buy so much house that they can't maintain it without illegal labor--but the elites of our party have to have servants.

Around where I live there are two kinds of new communitites--stunningly ugly, huge, shapeless mansions. And the slums of the help these rich folks require to maintain their Alcatraz on the Lake.

And what about the hospitals stressed by uncompensated illegal emergency care?

Well, Rush has an answer for that. Free enterprise, low taxation, deregulation! But I'll bet he still depends on that emergency room to be open for celebrity overdoses. As for stressing the schools, well, we should all have vouchers.

Bah. Don't think my my temper's cooled quite enough.

Support Tom Tncredo. My email to him below:

Congressman Tancredo: Keep up the good fight. You are a lonely voice of reason fighting the uncontrolled mass immigration of illegal aliens. You must win this fight or the US will be lost. A nation that cannot control its borders will soon lose its identity. Gradual, controlled immigration that allows for assimilation is a good thing. The present situation is a dangerous invasion that will destroy us. President Bush's proposed amnesty for illegals (even if he won't call it amnesty) is a danger to America and will lead to millions more coming across our borders. Mass illegal immigration is a greater danger to this country than islamic terrorism. This plan must be stopped or the US will go the way of the Roman empire. Do you accept conributions for the effort to defeat the various plans to reward illegal aliens? If you do, I would like to send what I can. Thank you

I respect all of your views so I hope mine will be respected as well. That said, I'm prepared to be flamed for my view by someone as I've read some pretty nasty comments to those who don't agree on other threads. It's sad to see this on Free Republic to say the least.

TO THOSE WHO WON'T VOTE FOR PRESIDENT BUSH AGAIN:

A democrat will win this election. The UN will dictate our foreign policy. Maybe France will have say. Our tax cuts gone, the list will go on. But go ahead get so mad about this issue and let a democrat win instead. There are to many with this kind of logic that it scares me. Terrorists are praying to Allah that Bush loses.

I worry. I live on Long Island in NY. I was in NYC shortly after the destruction of the World Trade Center attack. My husband flew out on business early that very morning. I know of people who died and the family left behind. I have family/friends who, by the grace of God, survived that day. I have a family member who lives in D.C. That makes me recognize that now it's not voting for the lesser of two evils. At this point, it is a vote for the man will protect America the best to prevent such horrific terrorist attacks from happening again. The world is far from perfect. Who knows what has already been thwarted. If we only have two candidates to chose from that will actually win this election, I choose the one who will defend America against attack. A man who will support and give our troops all they require to fight this war. To me, our time to protest is during 2008. Right now it is too dangerous. I understand why some will feel betrayed by this policy. Though, I have to say I think many have not read the entire policy. It may be the only way to take the first step to address this issue. It’s not the end of America. How about putting energy into lobbying to make English our primary language.

It’s unbelievable to see people choose not to vote for Bush at this critical time of war to chance one of those eggheads (being kind) running in the democrat primaries.

Thanks for the contact info. A phone call has been to Tom's office.

For good measure I called my Congressman, who is working on the reelection campaign for President Bush instead of concentrating on his own reelection. I just thought I would make a point that I would vote for neither of them because of this.

Remember that Carl Rove is going to withdraw all republican money from Tom also. Make a donation and urge him to run for president in 2004, campaigning against the Bush immigration amnesty program. He would win hands down.

He and the other Republicans mentioned in this article are the only true Americans left in the Republican party.

I live here in Georgia, and they sent me literature last year wanting me to help the Ga. Republican Party. I sent
them a negative reply since they have failed to make
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION an issue in this state. Unfortunately,
our RINO Governor has made race relations a bigger issue
in our state. I am glad even more that I consider myself
an independent and not beholden to the demopublicans (or
republicrats, whichever you want to call them.)
