We're talking about the future of the country here. I'm not prepared to give it away to anyone, let alone a third world country who has been in existence hundreds of years longer than the US. They're not our responsibility and it's time they stood on their own two feet.

Neither am I, but so far I don't see anything that says "giveaway" nearly as much as the status quo.
Which specific parts of the proposal do you think are worse than the status quo, and why?

Are you talking about Mexico? Mexico did not become an independent country until the 1820s, about forty years AFTER America became an independent nation. Before that, "Mexico" was a part of Spain, and before the Spanish arrived, the area that is now Mexico was populated by a few dozen fdifferent Indian tribes, the largest of which were the Aztecs. Mexico, as a nation, did not exist until the 1820s, with the rebellion that brought about independence from Spain.
