It's not as if we didn't know this was going to happen? A major part of Bush's election strategy was courting the hispanic vote. I don't recall Bush ever taking any kind of serious stand on illegal immigration. He is hardly breaking any promises that he made to conservatives here. He never did as far as I remember. No one should be surprised by this.
Bush was not my first choice for a GOP President but we made our choice back then and we got to live with it now. We all knew what we were getting when we voted for him the first time. No one should act shocked at what he has wrought thus far.
I love Bush with all my heart, but honest to God, I never see it fail: they promise you the MOON to get your vote. Once they are in office, they stick it to us. I keep saying that "I" won't vote again either, but then I think..........Gawd! What if the DemocRATS take over? Then it will REALLY be bad. Can't win for losing sushiman! :(
