HOWARD DEAN ... MAN OF THE PEOPLE
You may not know it, but Democratic frontrunner Howard Dean was raised in what most of us would consider to be a luxury apartment on Park Avenue in New York City. This seems to be a trend in Democratic presidential candidates. Al Gore, you may remember, was raised in a 5-Star hotel in Washington D.C. Every morning a limo would pick up little Al at the front door of the hotel to take him to his exclusive private school.
Well ... the news of Howard Dean's exclusive upbringing seems to be a bit upsetting to Andee Maitland Dean, Howard's mom. Last week Mama Dean told the New York Times that "Howard didn't have the least bit of a glamorous upbringing. When he was growing up, we didn't even treat the servants like servants."
Well isn't that special. If the servants aren't treated like servants then you're just like everybody else, aren't you?

To: NotchJohnson
Treated the servants like people, they must not have been US citizens or registered voters. He doesn't have a chance once this gets out!

Last week Mama Dean told the New York Times that "Howard didn't have the least bit of a glamorous upbringing. When he was growing up, we didn't even treat the servants like servants." Shoot, after young Howard turned 12 the servents even were allowed to stop referring to him as 'Massa Howard'....

I have heard that Dean's blue-blooded, old wealth, lineage is way beyond the Bush family. I have yet to see a detailed article about it.

Someone who's parents were " ardent Soviet supporters", ususally referring to the 1930s era. David Horowitz is the classic example, raised to follow the party line, but he is someone who , upon reaching maturity, saw the truth.

Thanks..I have never heard the term before. I am an avid supporter and reader of Horowitz. He certainly knows the liberal threat from within. I honestly think his work on the college campuses of this country if worthwhile and I hope he will stay with it.
