PILOT MOUNTAIN, N.C. (AP) - As soon as a group of fellow bikers pulled the handlebars out of his abdomen after his motorcycle crash, Brian Shipwash wanted to do one more thing in case he died.
So he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box, broken and blood-spattered, with a ring inside and asked Shandra Miller to marry him.

what a way to start the new year...well all and all I believe they will do just fine..

This makes a nice "aw shucks" story, and I'm very glad the guy is apparently recovering.
However, it's riders like this who give us real motorcyclists a bad name. If you can't negotiate a curve while putting along on your H-D, you shouldn't be on a motorcycle. Period.
