Just a caution for Orlando area people - whether used to breach a road block or through a crowded street/attraction - keep an eye out. :-(

...they would be able to get past a building’s security guards without scrutiny because of its state markings.

Or if they stole a dump truck from Joe's Dirt Yard and painted state marking on it.....

This could be really bad if Michael Moore could fit into it.

“It could be kids joyriding in it..."

Ahhh yes, I fondly recall the days of my youth when we'd steal dump trucks for joyriding... as if...

In other breaking news, the FBI has sent notice to LEO departments across the nation that anyone posessing an almanac should be considered a possible terrorist.

I thought that was at the duct tape and plastic "protection" suggested by HS level except I recall how coded messages are easily constructed by people with the same book by referring to specified pages, paragraphs, lines etc. indicating the word to be added to the message. Perhaps we have found suspicious types with almanacs?

I had such a horrible dream last night about multiple dirty bombs going off at the same time.I am a Floridian and this is my first glance at FR today. I all of a sudden have this very uneasy feeling in my stomach about the coming hours and days.

Oh by the way...you know how things get twisted up in dreams? There I was trying to get the hell out of town in a car as 2 bombs were set off miles away and I could feel this incredible heat. So I arrive at a friends house and I am having breathing problems in the dream but Fox News and CNN were giving updates on the bombs and then directly back into Michael Jackson coverage and Howard Dean.

Well, then I guess we'll have to get rid of our bibles, lest we are branded terrorists.

Turn off your computer and television, take a couple of asprin and check out for a news-cycle. You'll feel much better upon returning.

C.F.

Ironically enough growing up “out in the sticks” of Grays Harbor County, WA, I acquired quite a bit of hours running around in log-trucks and D-8 cats as a youth. They used to leave the keys right in the equipment out on the landings of logging operations. Of course that was in my youth, I’m much more responsible now. ;)

Lucky you. I never got to drive the big stuff until I was in my 20's.

Saw a guy flip a dump truck on its side once. He was dumping a load of tailings and backed his right rear wheel over a small hump, maybe 18" higher than where the other wheel was setting. When the bed lifted that 18" was magnified at the top of the load and the center of gravity pulled the truck right over onto its side.

Ouch... I backed a truck loaded with a cord of wood into a ditch on the side of the road once, and would up looking straight up at the sky...

You really shouldn't worry about a "dirty" bomb. The worst part of the whole event is the ordinary explosion. There won't be enough radioactivity to hurt you. It's the panic that is caused when you mention radioactive materials.
Now if they exploded atomic weapons... that's another story.

Agreed 100%. Although the movie sucked big time, I can never get that image out of my head of when the bomb went off in Sum Of All Fears.
