[history]
NEW ORLEANS - Louisiana has the nation's worst gonorrhea rate and is in the top 10 for two other sexually transmitted diseases, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
2002 was the second year in a row that Louisiana has had more cases of gonorrhea per 100,000 residents than any other - and the fifth in a row that it has been among the five worst for both gonorrhea and chlamydia.

How come you have T-Shirt shops and Topless Bars right next door to each other?

Compare this outstanding acheivement with the educational test results from LA & what do you get - indications of inbreeding and knuckle-dragging probably. Way to go cajuns!!

Heck I live in Alabama. We are probably 10th or worse.
Howie
Your comments really crack me up,
Id have to say youre funny.
As funny as a hemorrhoid,
Or as a nose thats runny.
Saddams capture no big deal,
Your stance is still the same.
Youre really sucking big on this,
Id say your brain is lame.
But tell me Howie, I must know,
These speeches, just who writes them?
Katie Couric comes to mind,
Or Michael Moore, is it him?
Well Doctor Dean you make me sick,
Malpractice, I will sue you.
Please get a clue, Ill sell you one,
John Kerry needs a few too.

What's the stats on Bourbon Street?
Bourbon street counts of 2/3 of the cases by itself.

I live in New Orleans. It's dirty here. When it rains downtown they call the runoff the French Quarter Cocktail. A mixture of vomit, urine and human waste. The high school graduation rate is 28%. Waste and fraud are the norm. We have dead people on the govornment teacher's payroll. The superintendant of schools father was making $70k a year, as a janitor. We have one fortune 500 business headquartered here. People are leaving in droves. We have been voted fattest city a couple of years ago. We have high retardation rates due to family incest. We have the worst streets in the US. The city is below sea level and we live in a region that is frequently hit by hurricanes. A hard rain floods the city. The best description of the city is Third World. And who do we have to thank? Decades of Democratic liberals leading the charge into demoralizing obscurity. I, like many others, live here because my parents are too old to move and unable to take care of themselves. But rest assured, the promised lands of Florida and Texas are calling. Take my advice, if you want to see a third world country without getting a passport, come on down, just dont forget to bring your antibiotics!

Anything showing a correlation to Mardi Gra (sp)? Some of the stuff that goes on ... and cops look the other way ... is rather arousing to say the least. It's an invitation to STD's ... plus some liquor to dull the senses ... quite a time to be had by our less then endowed intellectuals.

"Is it also a gay heaven all year round? Is it possible it's primarily in the gay community?"Well, we have ours just like any other city..but we're nowhere near as bad as San Francisco. I think the main problem with new orleans is all the social welfare handouts we give away every year. Historically, this has mostly been a democratic state as long as I have been here ('76) but I don't believe its without hope...yet. But we're gettin close. Bourbon St isn't so bad during the daytime..its mainly when the fests start up..we get a lot of punks from out of town. Seems like the locals aren't nearly as bad.

"The superintendant of schools father was making $70k a year, as a janitor."LOL! I remember that story..couldn't believe a janitor could make that much. Seeing some old black guy with grey hair mopping the hallways..making 70K..who would have thought that?

Louisiana is NUMBER ONE in murder also!
In the year 2000 Louisiana had 12.5 Murders per 100,000 people, ranking the state as having the 1st highest rate for Murder.
http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/lacrime.htm I am re-posting this because I had previously listed the wrong link. This link is quite useful for death stat.s. on every state + various causes of death.
