Amen to your #39. The so-called 'faith based initiatives' is a massive threat to the church, and the tax payers. It is exactly the kind of thing the founders put the first ammendment in the Constitution to stop- not some judge in Alabama putting up a monument with the 10 Commandments on it.

How can the church be a watchdog against government abuses if it is getting its funding from the government?

The Constitution Party is the best alternative to the tryanny of the Republicans and Democrats. If you refuse to act, even in the face of the suppression of your liberties (e.g. CFR), then all I can do is share the wisdom of Sam Adams:

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, - go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

Samuel Adams, "American Independence," 1 August 1776 Occasion: Speech delivered at the State House in Philadelphia.

It seems to me that most of the new "spending" gets the money out of Washington. If Bush had not been Keynesian during a recession, he would have been called mean-spirited. Now, it is up to us to demand reform, not just restraint.

Why would it be a bad thing? The Republicans are becoming more and more liberal each year when it comes to fiscal responsibility. They are becoming the party of the left, just not the fringe left. That's why we're going to see a massive schism in the Democrats this year and the next few years and the Greens are going to pick up a huge chunk and the Republicans are going to pick up a huge chunk of the "Yellow Dog Democrats." Then the conservatives will move out and move to a new party. I hope it is the Patriot Party. We are young and growing. We are trying to bring about a clear change. We are advocating the return to the basis of the constitution in our policies. Our government is so out of touch with the real world, we need to get it back in line. We line up well with the Constitution Party and in some aspects with the Libertarians, but without the level of anarchy they seem to be advocating. We have a lot in common with several of the "Third Party" parties. I think it will take having them all come together under one umbrella to provide a new home for the conservatives. That will allow the Republicans to move to the left further and have a responsible party that will maintain true conservative values.

What confuses me the most about people's abject disapproval of "Third Party" parties and candidates is that they seem to think there is some natural order to having the Republicans and the Democrats. The Republican party has not always been around in America. It was only after the Whig party imploded. So, there is a history of having one of the majors implode and a new party picking it up. And it seems to happen quickly. The new major seems to be in place within one presidential election cycle. So, why do some people seem to think it's not a good thing to destroy one of the two majors that has forgotten about America and our values and our history?

Please check out our party platform and our current information online at www.patriotparty.us.

And may God bless all of you and show you a wonderful new year with much joy and happiness.

It's just more socialism, quite the opposite of fiscal conservativism which advocates reducing the scope of federal government.

Please keep us posted about candidates from the Patriot Party, and as I said in an earlier post we need to support Constitutional conservatives in any party, including the few faithful Republicans running for re-election (like Ron Paul). We need to replace the Democrats and Republicans that have been unfaithful to their oath of office to defend the Constitution such as George W. Bush, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Bill Frist, Russ Feingold, and Dick Gephardt.

Bush basher alert!!!

Actually, this is a liberal spending alert. By signing such budgets and authorizing the administration to spend the appropriated funds, Bush continues to aggravate American taxpayers.
