I thought that might be what happened when the French flight cancellations were announced yesterday. It would be much too risky to let these planes fly and then take them on at this end. If nothing else, it would risk killing all the passengers. So we HAD to notify the French and let them handle it.
My guess at this point is that the people in question were flying under false names, and the French released them with that excuse.
If this is the case, it's time to stop playing patty-cake with France and put them on our enemies list.

I wonder if the people who were detained had the same or similar names to those on terror watch lists but after being investigated/questioned, it turned out that they weren't the ones who the U.S. was watching.
I just don't think the we would let possible terrorists walk away that easily.
