That evidence shows, among other things, that Jesus was born, lived and died a Jew — a perspective at odds with beliefs that Jesus rejected Judaism to form a new religion or taught a pagan-influenced humanist philosophy, Shanks and other scholars said.

So who believes that anyway? Seriously?

I agree - I don't know anyone who believes that Jesus "rejected Judaism, formed a new religion", etc.

Jesus, being God, CREATED Judaism. He was the greatest Jew ever to live. He knew what the intent of the Law was, and how to live it. BTW - the Law was never designed to bring about righteousness before God. It was designed to expose sinfulness before God and highlight a need for forgiveness.

How can this be done? Pay for mankind's sin, that's how.

But who can pay for mankind's sin when every one of them is sinful? One who is born sinless, but human.

Who is that person? Jesus of Nazareth, and we celebrate His birth on December 25.

Merry Christmas.
