JSOTF (Joint Special Operations Task Force) support out of southern Italy. I don't mean to imply that I carried a rifle on the ground in Kosovo (obviously) but that I was party to the preparations for the operation. I followed the press accounts of our diplomatic "efforts" and sought to reconcile them with the orders we were given... large disconnect with history, reality and our own regional loyalties.

Glad to hear it (thanks for your Service)...and who better to hear it from than those, like you, who were there. The American media did a fine job of keeping the history of this region...and the details of this war, hidden from the American people. The nerve of people like Christane Amanpour to outright claim that the US media was "carrying the water" for the Bush WH in Iraq, when Amanpour herself (and many others), was an ardent supporter of the Kosovo War, was disgusting.
