[history]
The U.S. military found a treasure trove of documents on Saddam Hussein when he was captured -- some of which could prove that he had been commanding and financing guerrilla attacks against the coalition, Fox News has learned.
Earlier Tuesday, there were unconfirmed reports that Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri (search), No. 6 on the U.S. military's 55 Most Wanted (search) list, had turned himself in. But Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage told a morning news program that the report was unfounded.

Yes, Howard Dean, it does seem we are safer now that Saddam has been captured.

You know... It's almost too bad that that "Info Babe" on CNN named Anna Bash didn't get married to one of the Bush brothers so she could be re-named Anna Bash-Bush in perpetuity!!!

Frankly, I'm surprised (pleasantly so) by this news--that Saddam was in control to the degree it appears he was. W/ 20/20 hindsight, I guess it makes sense in that he knew where the $$ were buried. He who controls the purse strings runs the show. His capture should result in the near obliteration of the Iraqi/ Baathist component of rabble rousers and possibly a good deal of Al Katy's, too.
I'd say that we're on a roll.

I guess it makes sense in that he knew where the $$ were buried. I agree and it is very likely that the money was spread around in modest amounts that he could release as needed. Assuming this is so, he would need to keep records of the whereabouts of these locations on his person or commit them to memory. I'm betting on the former. If so, the game may well be up for the "resistance". No money, no fightee.

Saddam Denies WMD Well then, I guess that settles that. I'm glad he finally came clean.

"Her name is Dana Bash..and FYI..I think she's Judy Woodruff's daughter..."
According to Duke's Alumni webpage(2002) about woof-woof: "My husband, Al Hunt, and I have lived in Washington, D.C., long enough to call it home. Weve been blessed with three wonderful children, Jeff, 20, Benjamin, 15, and Lauren, 13."
All I can find out about Bash is that she's 31 or 32 & and that both of her parents are "journalists".

"He's been fairly defiant," one official said. "While he's talkative, he's provided nothing substantial. His comments are self-serving, lengthy rationalizations of his behavior, and he punctuates a lot of it with wise-ass and deflective remarks." It's been my experience that interrogators don't particularly care for this approach. (This would be one time I'd suggest leaving the funny stuff out of your act. Unless you like cold, cold water, and a 5x5x3 foot box to sleep in.)
At any rate, the fact that he's talkative is good. I'm sure that he can be manipulated to say more than he means to in the presence of a skilled interrogator.

Turkey-neck has kids who are still teenagers? I can't believe that.
