Never trust an officer who carries a briefcase to the front.

This can't be true. Katy Couric said that there's no way Sadam could have been running any operation.

Looks like there was more in the briefcase than a week-old falafel wrap.

The new information contradicts accounts from former Clinton administration officials who said on Sunday that the Iraqi dictator was likely too isolated to direct continuing attacks on U.S. GIs. And former Clinton officials should know what it takes for a leader to orchestrate attacks on enemies...

Hmmmmmm. One is left to wonder why, if it's an "intelligence windfall," we're being told about it. Obviously they've already used it to take down a bunch of bad guys, but you'd think there'd be more to glean.
Obviously there's some strategery behind this -- maybe stir up the nest and see who flies.....?

The Dems don't want Saddam to have been orchestrating the insurgency. They want Saddam's capture to have no effect on the resistance.

contradicts accounts from former Clinton administration officials I find this interesting. Here Clinton's leftovers are out yet again pontificating their "wisdom." I heard that "they" said last night that Iraqi courts did not have the experience to run SH's trial. While these people have been around during the Bush presidency trying to nibble at the edges of the Bush credibility, they seem to have emerged from their holes to dampen the effects of Saddam's capture. Yet, I haven't seen a one of them interviewed. I just keep hearing news people say that "former Clinton officials say . . ." with no names or attributes. I find that unprofessional and disturbing.

That would be the SAME administration that couldn't be bothered when bin Laden was offered on a silver platter.

The MSNBC article on which this NewsMax item is based is here:

I wish they would all just shut their piehole on what kind of intelligence they found with Saddam for at least a week or more so they can act on ALL of the info in that briefcase.
Or might it be just disinfo to get them running from their holes...?
To: truthandlife
It is impossible to know how much of this is actually accurate and how much is disinformation, primarily targeted at the enemy though also for US domestic consumption. I tend to assume a high % of the latter, as it is the rule in war.
