Thanks for putting up this thread. it illumimates the bias and badness that exists.

The American mainstream has degenerated sometime ago into a fullblown propoganda effort. The object is to sahpe events to further leftwing agenda.

It will get worse next year. It may become unbearable in the coming months.

Can it be confronted? Can it be successfully FReeped? If you see after today that such an effort might be worthwhile send me a FReep mail.

I'm not at my normal computer today and don't have my CCRM oost at hand. Free Republic has a media chapter and your help is needed.

Our website is www.fairpress.org.

CNN Video "Fit To Kill"

CNN Presents: Fit To Kill

Aired October 26, 2003 - 20:00 ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Fire!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Fire!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The body's still twitching. You could still see the body kind of rising and falling a little bit.

CANDY CROWLEY, CNN NEWS: The stories are hard to tell.

CROWLEY: The memories are hard to live with.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: After we killed him, there was a question of was this guy a hostile person.

CROWLEY: The battles don't end when the shooting stops.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Cease fire!
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Cease fire!

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Killing another human being is a pretty goddamned significant act. And there's a lot of feelings about it afterwards.

CHARLES MILES-SHEEHAN, GULF WAR VETERAN: It's something that we spend way too little time reflecting on before we send troops into battle.

AARON BROWN, HOST, CNN PRESENTS: Machine guns fire and shell explode, so many die. Numbers for the world to see.

But what we don't see, what we don't talk about honestly when it comes to war, is the actual act of killing. That is taboo -- a taboo that we break now. Welcome to CNN PRESENTS. I'm Aaron Brown.

BBC TV also made a bizarre comment: that Saddam's capture might be bad for America because he knows all the secrets from the 1980's, when we were "arming him."

BBC TV did not mention that Saddam also knows all the secrets from the 1990's until now, when he was receiving supplies and support from France, Germany, and Russia.

BBC TV also didn't understand that Saddam is in U.S. custody, and that we know what he knows, and that Saddam will not be speaking on the public circuit or giving interviews to BBC TV or writing magazine articles.

Kudos for your ability to listen to NPR and stay awake. You must brew a heck of a cup of coffee

It's no fun but somebody's got to do the monitoring...after all there are many of us who are trying to defund this bunch of lefties.

I listen as I correct student papers. Double whammy.

"If we can catch Mullah Oolah"

I dislike Biden's politics, but he does come up with a good hoot from time to time. Don't understand how he can stomach being a Rat.

OMG you are so bad! you have caught me redhanded cept i do it with the magazines they get in the mail.AARP,Time,Newsweak,Mother Jones, and a couple of others i cant remember. and they do wonder aloud what happened to the magazines!!HAHA.
What's even funnier is that they wouldnt have this problem if they would get up and check the mail once in a while. but see they are liberals they they just complain about the missing mag's instead of getting up and investigating why or where they may have gone.

You can also be sure that behind closed doors the DNC is grinding its teeth.

The DNC's doors are closed indefinately, they are in mourning. Hillary slit her wrists, and Tom Dash-hole is very saddened ...... and, Ted (Homo-Chappaquiddus) Kennedy is just DRUNK.

Bummer

Did anyone else torture himself and listen to NPR today?

I did, and WHEW! Their reporter Anne Garrels is BESIDE HERSELF WITH HATRED for the U.S. and for George Bush.

Garrels positively shrieked that we've done NOTHING right in Iraq -- all is chaos -- we've done NOTHING for security -- blah blah blithering blah!

For a little while NPR had Garrels up against someone named Major Jack Keene (sp?). Whoever he was, he tried to be gentlemanly while Garrels kept interrupting and shrieking, but you could tell he was sorely tried.

The LEFT are in agony over the capture of Saddam.

NPR has expressed "concerns" that Saddam has not been treated with dignity.

Saddam lost his last chance at any sort of dignity when he didn't shoot himself. No cajones. Even Adolf had the grace to shoot himself in the mouth.

NPR's special program

How many years does the GOP have to control Congress and the White House before they do something about NPR?

I'm tired of paying taxes to support that leftist horse crap.

I was just listening to NPR's special program;they had their reporter Ann Garrels, commenting, it was unbelievable to listen to her spew a vitriolic diatribe against the US military, the Bush administration, and everything going on in Iraq, which she described as "total anarchy".

Didn't see your post re Anne Garrels before I posted mine.

So you heard her too. Un-freakin'-believable!
