The capture of Saddam has very large consequences for not only the Palestinians but Islam as a whole. According to the teachings of Islam, when a man attacks a neighbor that is stronger and brings the wrath and destruction from that stronger neighbor onto his village, that man is a shame to Islam.
For Saddam to be in the hands of America, his sons dead and His Islamic State in ruins and in the hands of Infidels, Allah has clearly shown that Allah is not behind the attack on America. It is clearly not time for the Jihad!
This is a very serious situation, a clear clash of doctrine between the Koran and the Jihad. If Saddam had eluded capture, it would have shown that Allah is behind the Jihad, but for Saddam to be captured, and without a fight, it shows that Allahs favor is not on him.
They are going to be burning the midnight oil in the mosques tonight!!!

#19 is so right! Major cognitive dissonance is going on in the Arab Muslim world today.
The symbolism of being captured without a struggle in a dirt rat hole is also very powerful in destroying his Muslim mojo forever.

The images of the captured Saddam have great propaganda value for the US. The Arab media, read Arab gov'ts, cannot explain them away, nor can they explain all the nonsense they have been feeding their subjects after the invasion of Iraq. There may well be a religious dimension to Saddam's capture and humiliation, but the secular dimension is very, very large. Capturing Saddam has removed a great propaganda tool from the anti-US forces throughtout the region and the US, read the Demorats.
