Al Pacino sank to a new low. He went from macho Michael in The God Father, to a homo Lawyer hiding behind his wedding ring. When he constantly caressed and rubbed the shoulders of his apprentice, in a sexual way, while gazing into his eyes so lovingly, I wanted to puke. Why Pacino took this role is beyond me. Maybe he's gay? I don't know.

The worst part of the movie, was when they actually showed one guy picking up another guy in the park, and both of them going at it, standing up...doggie style. I swear..that did it and I was out of there.

Didn't even want to wait for the appearance of an "Angel", or to find out of the Angel was Gay as well.. This show was disturbing and disquesting.

I've been watching, it's a great drama. Pacino is excellent and the Mormon guy's wife is very good. I feel terribly sorry for those sick men and the people who cared for them. The movie is set 20 years ago when the treatments only marginally postponed the inevitable horrible death.

I've gotten a little insight into the homosexual lifestyle. I don't think it glorifies it, as a matter of fact the married Mormon struggling with his urges is quite moving. But you see plainly see how his actions have destroyed his wife, an innocent in all this. Roy Cohn is protrayed as a strong, effective person, but as creep, which I think is accurate.

I think it is an accurate portrayal of the lifestyle. It hasn't swayed me to think it's natural or okay. And I guess people make their own choices everyday that cost them their health (smoking, drinking, x-treme sports, drugs). I suppose I should have no less sympathy for aids victims as I would for a professional or amatuer athlete crippled on the playing field.

It is a horrible way to die.

______________

What is laughable is that *they* think this will endear mainstream America to their cause. Here's a clue Hollywood, that behavior is disgusting(having sex with someone you just met in public) to most America when it is heterosexual behavior, it certainly is not going to be acceptable and endearing when gays do it.

That is what is so bizzare about this. We, by that I mean authorities and public in general, accept behavior that we wouldn't allow for heteros.

We have a problem with nude and sexual bathing at a local lake. A number of families have complained about their children seeing it. The 'authorities' simply shrug. If it was heteros, they would be thrown in the slammer.

Back in the early 80's the primary cause of the spread of AIDS was bath houses in San Fran. The 'authorities' allowed them to stay open because the gays objected to their closing.
Several similar hetero establishments, Plato's Retreat in NY for instance, were closed.

Again 'authorities' arrest prostitutes but leave 'pickups' alone. I guess their reasoning is, since no money changes hands we are protected. Obviously the 'authorities' care not one whit about morals only whether the gov. is getting their cut of the profits.

We live in a sick world.
