I propose everyone who reads this should email President Bush and other appropriate Congresscritters and tell them our opinion, and that if they want us to continue to vote Republican, they should act like conservatives and protect the Constitution.
I don't propose sitting out the election or voting for protest candidates.
What do you think could/should be done?

Sounds like a good start.

I don't propose sitting out the election or voting for protest candidates. So you're telling the GOP to act a certain way or you'll leave, but then you go on to say you won't leave. What good are empty threats?

I would be alot happier if Freepers did make a few phone calls on important issues. The only two choices left are, do you want to be stabbed in the chest by your known enemy, or in the back, by a party that is suppose to represent you enough to earn your vote, instead of smugly sneering, "Where else are you going to go?"

Emails don't work, nor does snail mail. Has to be a phone call or your wasting your time.

"...continue to vote republican..."
I wonder how much that would sway them. The way I figure it, they now that anyone who is greatly opposed to that bill is probably an ardent conservative. I think they also expect that anyone who is an ardent conservative will probably vote for a republican. It isn't that their expectations are right, however. They'll have a rude awakening if a 1992 type fiasco happens again, and a TP candidate gives the election to a liberal democrat. History repeats itself first as tragedy then as farce.
