Paramedics reported finding VanLester unconscious on top of a DVD player Nov. 28
Elementary, my dear Watson! The DVD player would have been impetuously and expeditiously removed from under her body, flat-out, lickety-split, posthaste even!

If you read the story, it says DVDs.
I knew they were talking about the DVD players however.
I was being a wee bit sarcastic.

I know you were being sarcastic. Just wanted to note that last year's special on DVD players was cheaper.
It's runaway inflation I tell you, the sky definitely is falling, and it's going to be gloomier than even Dr. Dean can imagine!

I've got a buddy that's a prosecutor in a small town in which Wal-Mart is the biggest employer. Recently, he had a case come up where two women claimed an ex-husband of one of them stalked and harrassed them all around the store, then beat the hell out of them in the parking lot. It turned out, these women were unaware of all the security cameras in the lot. When the tapes were played in the judge's chamber, it showed the women literally chasing the guy all over the store and screaming at him in the lot while he just frantically tried to leave. They then tried to block his truck as he attempted to pull out. One of the women suddenly took a dive, acting like the truck hit her (it was probably at least ten feet away). The other woman, seeing what her friend did, attempted the same. The judge was not amused. This goes on all the time, with false testimony by women putting men in jail. The judge probably did not put the women in jail for a couple of years where they belonged.

The above sounds like a lot or rats I have known over my life.

Can you give me an example of "Vague Symptoms" to keep her in a ward for two days? Back pain.

ALL these false claims make it very hard on folks who have indeed taken a really bad fall ,or been in a severe auto accident, I have never sued anyone and, I have taken some falls on the job that left huge bruises, but no broken bones, most people dont like being out of work,it is like not being able to drive.

No kidding. And a certain number of real back injuries don't up with the tests we have now. Which is why faked ones are the favorite of con-artists. The doctor simply can not swear that the injury is not legitimate.
Mostly such cases are disproven by PI who shadow the faker and video tape them doing something they swore they couldn't do without pain.

As an ER physician I can tell you one of the hardest things to prove is when someone is NOT ILL. I am forced to admit patients all the time with what I strongly suspect are conversion reactions or frank malingering.I can imagine...Heck, I started to get this loss of point vision thing reading words on the computer and I think I have a tumor...Go to the MD, nothing there. Spoke to a eye doc, first thing she says, Oticular(sp) headache, but it doesn't hurt doc...your lucky she says...I go thru 40 yrs of decent health all of a sudden I have painless headaches.
btw haven't had one since I spoke to her.
To: sirchtruth
To me that is the most intriguing part of this story...being in the hospital for TWO days indicates a problem. In and of itself, the mere length of time she was in the hospital indicates nothing.
